Deep Tissue Massage
A MORE FORCEFUL TECHNIQUE THAT RELEASES TENSION DEEP IN THE MUSCLES AND CONNECTIVE TISSUES
A powerful massage that combines pressure point work and firm, long strokes using the hands, elbows and forearms. These techniques are used to release deep-seated muscular tensions while improving flexibility and alleviates fatigue. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as it works to release chronic muscle tension or knots.
It shouldn’t hurt, but it’s likely to be a bit more uncomfortable than a lighter style Swedish massage, especially if you have chronic muscle tension and large knots.
Swedish massage
LEAVES YOU FEELING RELAXED AND RENEWED
Swedish massage is one of the most popular forms of massage therapy.
The technique uses long strokes and light-to-firm pressure, aims to promote relaxation by releasing muscle tension. Swedish massage is gentler than deep tissue massage and better suited for people interested in relaxation and tension relief. It may loosen up tight muscles caused by daily activities such as sitting at the computer or exercising. This style generally provides a more relaxing experience, but the pressure may not be enough for some people.
This type of massage focuses on muscle relaxation, targeting superficial muscles (rather than the connective tissues targeted in deep-tissue massage) and increasing blood circulation.
Swedish massage is a whole-body therapeutic massage treatment that works the soft tissues and muscles to help restore health - creating a calming and balancing effect on the nervous system.
There are many benefits that Swedish massage provide, such as:
Pain Management
Relaxation
Increased circulation
Decreased fatigue
Reduction in Anxiety and depression.
Neck, shoulders, face and head massage
MAKES YOU FEEL COMPLETELY UNWIND
This treatment works specifically on the decolletage, neck, shoulders, face and scalp areas where we are most likely to suffer from stress and tension. Based on Swedish massage and Indian Head Massage techniques, as well as using Shiatsu pressure points massage technique to make you feel completely unwind.
The massage helps relax the scalp and the muscles in the neck area by enhancing blood circulation in these areas, and through pressure points creates similar effects throughout the body.
Scalp massage is a natural remedy for migraines and headaches as it helps balance the nervous system.
Furthermore head massage conditions the scalp, helping to prevent flakes and dry, itchy scalp, strengthen the roots of the hair and nourishes the hair-shafts, promoting new hair growth and strengthening existing hair.
The face massage is a brilliant tool for addressing a number of skin, and even health concerns. It can release unwanted expression lines, lift skin, release puffiness, promoting collagen production, and result in a more contoured, slimmer face and cheekbones. In terms of specific benefits, facial massage encourages circulation of the lymphatic system, stimulates blood flow and improves overall skin texture. Synergistically, these factors work in harmony to brighten and firm skin while draining and moving any fluid around.

Hot stone massage
ESCAPE FROM THE OUTSIDE WORLD… REVITALISE AND RESTORE YOUR MIND AND BODY
A hot stone massage is used to help you relax and ease tense muscles and damaged soft tissues throughout your body. The stones are usually made of basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat. They are at just the right weight to add the perfect amount of pressure. These stones are also very effective at heating up and holding their heat for the duration of the treatment.
I use hot stones to massage your body using Swedish massage techniques. The heat and smoothness of the stones rolling over your body is still relaxing, but more invigorating than a traditional Swedish massage and it may relieve more muscle tension.
Aside from being super relaxing, this treatment has many other benefits too:
● The warmth and pressure of the stones allows your massage therapist to go a little deeper with the pressure during your massage. This helps to relieve any aches and pains that you might have.
● If you are someone who is often cold, one of the main hot stone massage benefits is a warming sensation from the inside out. This will be deeply relaxing and enjoyable for you.
● Massage in general has been shown to help relieve the symptoms of chronic pain conditions, but the added heat with hot stone massage takes the benefits up a notch. If you have rheumatoid arthritis in particular, the warming sensation will help to relieve aching joints.
● If you’re struggling with your sleep the warmth and weight of the hot stones and massage will relax your mind and body, allowing you drift off into a deep sleep.
● May help to relieve depression and anxiety – regular massage has been shown to help in many cases. A hot stone massage may be able to provide some respite from your symptoms.
● Helps to relieve tension – If you’ve been feeling particularly stressed lately, a hot stone massage can help to relieve tension whilst also promoting a sense of calm and wellbeing in the mind.
● May help to reduce symptoms of autoimmune conditions – Pain from conditions such as fibromyalgia may be reduced with regular hot stone massage, whilst also giving you an increased range of movement.
● Gives you an immunity boost – Another important hot stone massage benefit is the boost to your immune system.
Hot stone massage can:

Jikiden Reiki®
Jikiden Reiki is original Japanese Reiki free from Western influence
Reiki is a holistic, non-invasive natural healing therapy that channels natural life force energy. Promoting emotional wellbein, relaxation and a sense of vitality.
There are many kinds of Reiki available today. What makes Jikiden Reiki stand out is that it retains the original Reiki teachings and techniques from Japan, maintaining its grounding, simplicity and depth. It is known for personalised treatments, which also enhances its effectiveness. As Jikiden Reiki has not been westernised, it could also be described as Reiki in its complete, authentic Japanese form.
Jikiden means ‘directly passed down’ and is named this because it is practiced and taught in the same simple way by the original Japanese founder, Mikao Usui in 1922.
